For the 3-generation family with 7 members, the Tranquil Home design offers a precise arrangement of public and private areas. The design of the public area binds the entire family together, while the design of the private area provides a serene space for each individual.
The open public area, consisting of the dining room, kitchen, and living room, strengthens family relationships. The seamless flow between these spaces allows family members to interact smoothly. Each bedroom in the private area is thoughtfully designed with sufficient storage space, providing a laid-back and private sanctuary for everyone in the family.
The choice of materials plays a crucial role in realizing the design. The floors in the public area are adorned with grain stone tiles that naturally spread across each space. These tiles cleverly correspond to the thin grain stone tiles on the TV wall and the gray paint on the wall behind the sofa, creating a harmonious visual experience. In contrast, the private area is adorned with warm wood floors, transforming the space into a tranquil and calm retreat. The bedrooms are further enhanced with leather headboards and cloth wallpapers, adding to the overall comfort and coziness.
With a total area of 465 square meters, the Tranquil Home project was completed in April 2019 in Taichung, Taiwan. The designers, Chi Wei Lin and Yu Chih Chang, skillfully integrated capacious storage cabinets with the modern simple style, using poised and composed colors that perfectly suit the needs and preferences of the family.
This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award. The Tranquil Home received the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This award is a testament to the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of the project, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The Tranquil Home is respected for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, ultimately contributing to a better world.
